Autumn: Home and Fashion Wish List

I used to think that I had a summer/winter personality when it came to style and aesthetic preferences but now that autumn is here, I can sense my allegiances changing. If you’re wondering what on earth I am talking about, then click here to find out what season you have an affinity to! As the nights draw in and temperatures drop, I find myself lighting all the candles, reaching for an extra fluffy blanket and my comfiest sweatpants. So I thought I would run through some of the items I’ve got my eye on to bring autumn further into my home and wardrobe, that I reckon you’ll fall in love with too!

COMFORT AND STYLE

I get cold easily, so any fashion investments this season have to keep me warm, cosy and comfortable! Just like in my home, muted colours, soft fabrics and monochrome aesthetics are what I’m in search for this year and thankfully fashion is celebrating those themes this year too.

Ceramic Forms

I absolutely love having our dinnerware on display, and this autumn I’m keen to expand my collection! Rustic forms and stoneware contributes to a beautiful lived-in aesthetic, which is why these items will be going straight into my basket in three, two, one!

Pumpkin Shaped Mug, Anthropologie £14

Pearl Baking Dish, Layered Lounge £39

Sugar Bowl, Zara Home £20

Soft textiles

There’s nothing like hunkering down on the sofa in the evening, so why not add another level of comfort by upgrading your soft textiles! Autumn is all about rich textures and tones so bring some of this into your home. Plus, swapping out soft textiles is a fantastic way of quickly refreshing a rooms aesthetic.

Ochre Linen Bedding, Bedfolk £199

Carded Wool Blanket, Zara Home £120

Cosy light sources

There’s nothing quite like creating a cosy atmosphere inside your home using various light sources, just ensure artificial ones emit a warm glow rather than a cool one like these tala bulbs do so perfectly! I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice or gingerbread scented candles (sorry!) so instead I turn to cedar wood, fig, patchouli and musk scents as they create a wonderful, alternative seasonal atmosphere.

Saint Candle, August and Piers £64

Metal Candlestick, Zara Home £23

HOME ORGANISING

I love organising, it is my jam. Just follow one golden rule - be honest about your inventory and ensure your storage solution conforms to what you own, do not cram things in! Thankfully organisation has become a bit of a trend lately, so there are plenty of good looking products on the market to help you on your way.

Laundry Hamper, H&M Home £35

Storage Basket, ARKET £35

Hanging Organiser, Zara Home £23
